St Colmcilles Cardiff


St. Colmcilles GAA Cardiff  Ladies form part of the Cardiff GAA club, reformed in 1956. They are currently the only non-university Senior GAA team in Wales.

In 2010 the St. Colmcilles Cardiff Ladies team began training with a view to developing a team to compete in the British Championship. The Ladies team has  gained a lot of momentum  in this time and has gone from strength over past couple of years.

The ladies travelled to Ireland to compete in the much celebrated Paidi O’Se Football Tournament in 2013. They performed admirably and gained a wealth of experience from their time in Kerry which they then put to good use in the domestic Championship back in the UK.

In 2015 they became a member of the Glo-Herts county. St Colmcilles Cardiff Ladies team includes players from all across Ireland, Britain and Canada. Quite the social team St Colmcilles have plenty fun off the pitch with lots of social events!
