The Glo-Herts League Shield final took place on June 11th in Oxford, where Claddagh Gaels took on St Judes.
Well done to both teams on getting to the Shield final, with Claddagh Gaels coming out on top.

On a very warm day, our Senior ladies took to Oxford in the hopes of finally bringing back some silverware to Luton after being so close, time and time again.
The game started well and the points kept ticking over throughout the game from forwards: Heather Roy, Ailish Gaughan & Sarah Calpin and 2 goals from the Fox in the Box Ella Richards.
The first half was close, with the girls only 2 points up at half time. But the backs really stood their own in the second half being led by a spine of the powerful Caoimhe O’Grady & our ‘Gazelle’ Siouxsie Giles who both had brilliant games. Veteran Jackie Sheridan was a rock between the posts once again.
The sheer pace of Jacqueline McGoldrick, Louise Gibbons, Keira French and Alex Brennan going forward was a constant threat for the Bournemouth side and very hard to stop. Great performances from our youngsters once again who have put in some serious graft in training over the winter, Summer Harkin, Niamh Flaherty, Rebecca English, Amy Sarsfield, Emily Sheehan Corrigan and Isabel Maynard.
