The Glo-Herts Championship final took place on September 17th. St. Colmcille’s St. Albans and Western Gaels Bristol travelled to Oxford to compete for the cup. Well done to both teams for getting to the Championship final and thanks to all the supporters who made their way to Oxford.
With a competitive start to the game, Western Gaels Bristol were eager to not have a repeat of the League final in which had ended with a flourish from St. Colmcille’s St. Albans. With notable play from the Western Gaels Bristol mid-field and half-forward line, they came out on top with an impressive scoreline.
Congratulations to Western Gaels Bristol and management on being crowned Championship winners and for all their hard work throughout the season. This was the first year that Western Gaels Bristol have won the Kathleen Barrett Cup!!
